Q

discuss

A

present with evidence, Instead, build an argument like you’re having a conversation or writing an opinion piece — and then use research as support.
Bad “discuss” answer:
“Alloy et al. showed that people with negative thinking styles got depression. The sample was large, so it was reliable. Therefore, cognitive theory is supported.”
Good “discuss” answer:
“There’s a strong case that the way people interpret and think about life events can actually lead to depression. If someone constantly expects the worst or blames themselves for everything, it’s not surprising that they might develop symptoms over time. This theory becomes even more convincing when studies like Alloys show how negative thinking can predict depression before it happens.”
Your evidence isn’t the entire answer, it is you writing a thing and using that so people believe you. Pretend you are answering w/out evidence and evidence supports
