What do we assess first?
Gumshoe pulse, respiration, attitude

What causes respiratory arrest?
Shock, overdose, structural disorders, foreign bodies, head injury
How do we treat respiratory arrest?
Intubate, artificially respirate, stop anesthetic, stimulate, clear obstruction
What is the time limit for cardiac arrest?
What are the warning signs of cardiac arrest?
ECG change, cyanosis, pulse change, dark blood
Decreased blood volume.
Unable to pump blood.
What causes allergic reactions?
Vaccine, insect, food
Free air in the chest.
Blood in the chest cavity.
A tear in the diaphram.
General steps to threat Thorax.
Maintain airway, treat shock, oxygen

How do you cool a heat stroke patient down?
Towels wet with cool water, fans, alcohol on pads and belly
What can heat stroke cause?
Disseminated intravascular coagulopathy
Where does frost bite most commonly affect?
Tail, genetalia, ears, paws
