Erikson’s Industry VS Inferiority (6-12)
Children compare themselves to others
If children feel that they are successful compared to their peers they develop pride and accomplishment, if they don’t feel that they are as successful as their peers they will feel inferior
Freud’s Phallic Stage
The development of the superego; the internalization of society’s norms and values and developing a conscience
If the superego isn’t strong enough the individual l will be driven by the id (problematic behaviors)
