A

H.pylori
Smoking
Atrophy of stomach muscle (Caused by resection or H.pylori infection)

Pathology?

A

An adenocarcinoma in the mucous secreting cells of the gastric pits. Most commonly caused by mutation of the tumour supressing p53 gene

Surgery - Improves survival and symptoms: Resection of the stomach
Total Gastrectomy for proximal lesions
Partial Gastrectomy of distal lesions
Chemotherapy
