Truman went back on the decision that had previously been made about Poland. (Objected to the Influence that communism had over Eastern Europe.
- ## Truman also objected to the Soviets having full control over the countries that were liberated from the Nazi grasp.

Truman wanted relations to improve because of the ABOMB but they worsened
- Starlin didn’t like that the USA had power over them.
-both wanted different things for eastern Europe as they both wanted to create a buffer zone of either communism or capitalism

-It concerned the USA as Starlin wanted to see the end of capitalism and felt that the outside world was hostile and looking to destroy communism. and it said that
“it is desirable and necessary that…the traditional way of life be destroyed”
