A condition resulting from too little, too much, or imbalanced intake of nutrients. Includes:
• Undernutrition – not enough nutrients
• Overnutrition – too much energy or nutrients (e.g. obesity)

A balanced intake of essential nutrients in appropriate amounts to meet the body’s needs for energy, maintenance, repair, and growth.

• Muscle weakness and poor endurance
