Q

After TOD: Expect 250kt speed restriction at PIKEZ then descend via with holding at VASHN. Hold South , 344 Bearing to , 5 mile legs, Left turns, EFC = 20mns or so.

A

Don’t forget 200kts at 6000’. Some people perform 1-3 turns in the hold and get vectored for the approach from PAINE or AGANE and some don’t hold and get cleared from VASHN

“Maintain 250 kts for spacing”
- This is done as an attempt to distract to do the “Standard” callout and setting it

Q

Approach, landing, taxi, shutdown at gate C12:

A

No issues. Don’t forget write ups.

After Hold, Cleared RNAV Z (RNP) 16R: EITHER:
1. From VASHN transition.
- Exit hold once turning inbound to VASHN.
Bring VASHN of the RNP over the VASHN of the STAR and verify proper sequence of RTE page
with the RNAV 16R from VASHN
or
2. Vectors for RNAZ Z (RNP) 16R.
ATC: “Fly HDG 340°, vectors RNP 16R” (Vectored beyond BUGNE)
Note: If you initially put the VASHN transition for RNP 16R, while on vectors HDG 340°, you now
need to reinstall the RNP 16R with the AGANE (IAF) straight out Transition and then bring up
the correct fix BUGNE that aligns with 3200’ .
On downwind: “Descend & Maintain 3200’”
“Turn HDG ___ , Maintain 3200 until established, Cleared RNP 16R”
“Maintain 170 kts until BUGNE or FINKA”

Q

Common Errors

A

Forgetting Standard at FL180, not doing TOC fuel check because its a short
flight, crossing 250’-300’ above HAWKZ at 17000’ due to transition from Standard to QNH during descent.

Pay attention to missed approach altitude = 2000’ and Not 5000’
. Make sure to use RNP .3 minimums (854’) and Not the listed 0.15 mins
