What is the point of using microscopes ?

A

Why do people use electron microscopes?

A

Invented in 1930s , higher magnification and resolution , can see internal structures of the cell, greater understanding of how cells work.

What is a light microscope?

A

Invented in 1950s use light can see the nuclei and chloroplasts

Microscope practical :

A
  1. thin slice of substance
  2. One drop of water using Pipette onto slide use tweezers for substance
  3. Add iodine to stain substance to see structures
  4. Cover slip on one end of specimen, clip it down with no bubbles.
  5. Select the lens
  6. Adjust it so you can see the specimen clearly
  7. Measure the diameter of the circular area visible your FOV
