Enzyme practical :

A
  1. Drop of iodine onto every spotting tile
  2. Set up a Bunsen burner and mat , tripod and gauze, put water above until it’s 35°C. Keep this constant
  3. Add 3cm cubed of amylase solution and 1cm cubed of buffer solution to a boiling tube. Put them into the water and wait 5 mins
  4. Add 3cm cubed of starch solution in a new syringe
  5. Mix and start a stop clock
  6. Time how long it’s takes for it to turn browns orange . Make sure to time every 10s and add a drop into the wells of solution that’s mixed.
  7. Repeat to see how pH afffects the time taken for starch to be broken down.
  8. Control all variables.
