A

Since economic trade with Great Britain had been closed due to France, Russia withdrew from its treaty with France. thus, Napoleon responded by invading. however, Russian power refused to push back only drawing Russian forces closer to Moscow. Moscow was essentially set on fire. Napoleon wanted Alexander the Great to make peace but he was faced with silence. he had no choice but to retreat with only 100,000 alive.
