When the force of blood against the walls of arteries are consistently too high. Non modifiable risk factors include age (mostly people in later adulthood), genetics and ethnicity ( African carrabean)

Increased risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, aneurysm, and vision loss.

Fatigue, headaches, dizziness, shortness of breath, anxiety about health, and a need for regular medication and blood pressure monitoring.

refers to a range of conditions that affect the heart, including coronary artery disease, heart attacks and heart failure. often caused by factors like plaque buildup in arteries or weakened heart muscles. Increases with age, family history and ethnicities like south Asians have an increased risk

Heart disease, kidney disease, nerve damage (neuropathy), eye damage (retinopathy), stroke, and increased risk of infections.

Frequent thirst and urination, fatigue, need for blood sugar monitoring, careful dietary planning, medication or insulin injections, and increased healthcare visits.
High cholesterol defintion
A condition where there is an excessive amount of cholesterol (a fatty substance) in the blood, which can build up in artery walls and restrict blood flow. Age ( levels increase with age), family history and genetics
High cholesterol associated risks
Coronary artery disease, heart attack, stroke, and peripheral artery disease.

Usually no symptoms until a serious event occurs, may require taking daily medication (like statins), following a strict diet, and having regular blood tests and medical reviews.
