A

Promotes flow of Qi, ADJUSTS THE MIDDLE and relieves diaphragm: SP/ST stagnant Qi patterns like epigastric or abdominal distention, fullness bloating, belching and nausea and vomiting.

Dries dampness: IMPORTATNT herb FOR PHLEGM-DAMP coughs with a stifling sensation in the chest and/or diaphragm, and copious, viscous sputum; also for damp turbidity obstructing the middle with a stifling sensation in the chest, abdominal distention, loss of appetite, fatigue, loose stools and a thick greasy tongue coating
