Atomic structure
Mandibular ___ and ____
____ process
____ process
Symphsis( ______)
Better _____ up, but can do seated , semi supine, semiprone.
Head in true lateral position with _____ line perpendicular to ir-
have patient close mouth and keep teeth together
Extend neck enough so that long axis of mandibular body is ____ with transverse axis of cassette, preventing superimposition of ____
If done tabletop, position cassette so complete body of mandible is positioned on cassette
Adjust rotation of head so area interest is ____ to cassette as follow:
- ramus- keep head in ____ lateral
- body- rotate head ___degrees toward cassette
- symphysis- rotate head ___degrees toward cassette
Central ray
____degrees ____ to pass through mandibular region interest
Axiolateral
Both side done for comparison

Atomic structure
Mandibular body and ramus
Condylar process
Coronoid process
Symphsis( mentum)
Better standing up, but can do seated , semi supine, semiprone.
Head in true lateral position with interpupillary line perpendicular to ir- have patient close mouth and keep teeth together
Extend neck enough so that long axis of mandibular body is parallel with transverse axis of cassette, preventing superimposition of cspine
If done tabletop, position cassette so complete body of mandible is positioned on cassette
Adjust rotation of head so area interest is parrallel to cassette as follow:
- ramus- keep head in true lateral
- body- rotate head 30 degrees toward cassette
- symphysis- rotate head 45 degrees toward cassette
Central ray
25 degrees cephallic to pass through mandibular region interest
Oblique mandible image criteria
Entire half of mandible from _____ to _____ should not be included
Opposite side of ____ should not be superimposed body
Entire body ,from ____ to ____ of canine tooth) should be well demonstrated
____ process should be visualized
Entire half of mandible from ramus to symphasis should not be included
Opposite side of mandible should not be superimposed body
Entire body ,from angle to reion of canine tooth) should be well demonstrated
Coronoid process should be visualized
Ap towne mandible
If Patient can’t do ___
Patient supine with _____ perpendicular to film
Cr
___-____ in ____ direction to pass between ____ of mandible
Look at _____ process
Patient can’t do pa
Patient supine with oml perpendicular to film
Cr
35-40 caudal to pass between angles of mandible
Look at condylar process
