what are the features of a microscope?

eyepiece (10x), objective lenses (4x,10x,40x), stage, lamp/mirror, coarse focussing dial, fine focusing dial

how do you calculate the total magnification?
A
multiply the magnification of the eyepiece lens by the magnification of the objective lens

what equipment do you need for the photosynthesis RP?
A
boiling tube, pondweed, LED light source, meter ruler

what is the method for photosynthesis RP?
A
-fill tube with sodium hydrogen carbonate
-bubbles of gas should appear over a period of time (this is oxygen, produced by photosynthesis)
-using a stopwatch, count number of bubbles produced per minute
-record it 3 times before changing the distance
