Advantage of a questionnaire

A

Can be sent to potentially thousands of people creating a large sample
Responses will usually be easy to evaluate, especially close questions

Disadvantages of a questionnaire

A

The responses may be biased
socially desirability bias- not being truthful to to present themselves in a bad light
Response bias -answer all questions in a similar way lazy not reading
Acquiescence bias - tenancy to agree with most things

When writing questions, what do you need to think about?

Be free of technical language (don’t overuse jargon)
