sense to front 2/3 of tongue and floor of mouth

Otic Ganglion

Parasympathetic ganglion in V3 get preganglionic fibers from lesser petrosal nerve that synapse in ganglion postganglionic fibers go to parotid gland via auriculotemporal nerve

Chorda Tympani Pathway

from CN7 exits temporal bone via petrotympanic fissure joins lingual nerve at infratemporal fossa

Chorda Tympana Innervation

sense/ taste to anterior 2/3 of tongue | preganglionic parasymp to submandibular ganglion; postganglionic fibers go to submandibular and sublingual glands

Accompanied by auriculotemporal nerve and maxillary vein | 5 branches

from Mandibular thru petrotympanic fissure w/ chorda tympani supplies mucosa of tympanic cavity

from Mandibular | thru foramen spinosum to supply dura mater and skull of middle cranial fossa

Accessory Meningeal Artery

from Mandibular | thru foramen ovale to suplly trigeminal ganglion and surrounding dura mater

Inferior Alveolar Artery

from Mandibular accompanies alveolar n in mandibular canal and exits mental foramen w/ mental nerve gives off artery to mylohyoid

Massenteric Artery

supplies Masseter | from Maxillary A
