Q

What does the citric acid cycle generally do? Like what occurs (5)

A
  1. Turns acetyl CoA (2C) into citrate (citric acid) (6C)
  2. Releases CO2
  3. ATP is synthesized
  4. Electrons transferred to NADH and FADH2
    - acetyl CoA is being reduced (anaabolic/endergonic)
