Inputs
Inputs are the raw materials or other resources used by a businesses to produce goods or services.
Outputs
Outputs are the final goods and services provide to customers.

Wholesalers are businesses that store and distribute manufactured goods to retailers.
Retailers
Retailers are businesses that purchase goods from a wholesaler and resell them to customers.

Import Duty is a tax paid on imports from one country yo another.
Case Example
Kmart is an Australian-based retailed chain of departments stores that sell products such as electronic, toys and clothing. Kmart sources material and manufacture majority of its products in Chain and parts of southeast Asia. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruption to Kmart supply chain due to strict lockdown measures in chain, meaning that Chinese manufacture were forced to stop operating for several mouths . Due it its heavy reliance on sourcing resources from china, Kmart experienced product shortages and empty shelves across Australia during the pandemic which consequently led to major customer dissatisfaction.
