Q

Humerus

A

Head has to be on medial side and olecran fossa (indentation) has to be on posterior side. Head points toward the right, it’s the right humerus. Head points to the left, it’s the left humerus.

Q

Ulna

A

Look for radial notch. Radial notch is always on the lateral side. On the distal end, the styloid process is on the medial side. Styloid process on left side, left ulna. Styloid process on right side, right ulna.

Q

Radius

A

Head of the radius is the smaller end and that is the proximal end. Big bump just below head is the tuberosity and it has to be anterior. Styloid process on distal end has to be lateral. If Styloid process is on the left , it’s right radius. If it’s on the right, it’s left radius.

Q

Hip Bone

A

obturator foramen is on the inferior end , ischial tuberosity is the rough bumpy edge on posterior side, ischial spine is small raised surface that is also on posterior side. acetabulum faces laterally

Q

Tidia

A

Larger head is superior end, anterior side has tibial tuberosity (bump near the top) and raised edge along shaft of bone. On distal end, medial malleolus (little tail) is on medial side. If malleolus is on right side, right tibia. If malleolus is on left side, left tibia

Q

Fibula

A

angular end is the distal end. malleolar fossa (depression/hole) is on the posterior side and lateral malleolus is on the lateral side. Triangle of articulation should be on anterior side. If lateral mallelous is on the left, it’s the right fibula. If it’s on the right, it’s the left fibula.
