Acetaminophen

A

Reduces fevers for peds

10-15 mg/kg do not exceed 50 mg/kg

A

Anti inflammatory, anti coagulant

Adult 81mg/ do not exceed 324 mg in 24 hours

Ask if taking blood thinner or allergic reaction, do not give to patients

A

GI absorbent

Do not use if trachea is obstructed

1mg/kg for adults and peds

Call poison control before administering

Used for poisonings, organophosphate, mushrooms, nerve gases

Bronchial asthma, reverses bronchospasms

Contra:
Allergy to drug

1-2 inhalations( via metered dose inhaler)

250-500mcg ( 0.25-0.5 mg0 via nebulization

A

Isomer, beta2 agonist

Xopenex is used to treat reversible airway obstruction
Wheezing, copd, chronic bronchitis

Allergic reaction
Mao inhibitor
Sensitive to peanuts

Nebulizer
A- 1.25mg in 3ml of sterile NS, inhalation therapy 5-15 minutes

P-0.63-1.25mg

Naloxone

A

Narcotic antagonist

Reverses effects of narcotics

Contra:
Allergic reaction

Admin
A 0.4-2.0mg SQ,IM, tritate to respiratory effort/rate. May be repeated 2-3 minutes if needed (2mg (1 mg per naris)

Peds: 0.1mg/kg <5 yrs or €20 kg [2mg] €5yrs or >20 kg IM,SQ may be repeated at 0.1mg/kg if original dose had no effect

Neonate: 0.1 mg/kg slow IM,SQ repeat in 2-3 minutes

Anti anginal/vascular dilating agent

Contra:
Allergic
Severe hypotension
Pericardial tamponade
Increased intra cranial pressure
Hypovolemia

Suspected hypoxia or respiratory distress, shock, trauma

Used when pesticide or nerve agent poisoning after atropine has been admin
