industry
problems
Quantity of quality
Delays in planning create bottlenecks
Completion for limited resources state and private business
Society
APC
Apcs, higher stage Agriculture Production Cooperatives=2-300 households and peoples communes rapid pace over 5 years, set up inefficiently which Mao blamed lower level cadres for, the ‘rash advance’wealthier peasants hired and sold land remerged capitalism Mao paused the communes for 1.5 years till peoples communes
Society
state businesses
Foreign owned business take over by state and foreign trade minimalized and independent enterprises competed for resources that were scares
conclusion
Was somewhat a success as targets were met and was achieved a year early. But actual imputfell short of government figures which would become a problem in the future during food shortages and production emphasized quantity over quality which would also become a problem in the GLF when steel would be left to rust due to being unusable. On the other hand Mao had proven mass mobilization and the will of the people were successful and was on the way to prove experts who told Mao his plan would take decades. Netherless, they would be proven right in the devastation of the GLF which Mao’s reputation would never recover from.
