All living things depend on the sun. Explain

All ecosystems, such as a pond, a meadow, a forest, or even the whole Earth depend on the sun and sunlight as producers (plants) must obtain/absorb this to produce food, for not only themselves but all consumers. Without this sunlight energy, producers cannot carry out the process of photosynthesis to make food. If producers are unable to do this, consumers will not get any food and as a result, the ecosystems will slowly die.
