Aiding Dutch 1610 - he did not aid them because England could not withstand a Spanish army but gave the excuse of them not paying back loans. Failure to protect Protestants in the eyes of Parliament.
Mansfield failed 1624 due to disagreements over financing the role of Buckingham therefore Protestants were not protected.

Treaty of London 1604 - ended Spanish war and brought strong economic benefits to England but Parliament wanted more from the Spanish but overall success.
Averted Denmark and Sweden war so was able to stop two Protestant countries fighting. Parliament had expectations of James for an aggressive anti catholic policy so they did not get excited about it.
James saw it as a a success due to keeping peace bur Parliament did not because they mainly valued military aggression.
