what are the assumptions of the humanistic approach
humans have free will and are in control of their behaviour, they are active agents, it also rejects any scientific and objective method
what is self actualisation
this refers to the innate tendency to self actualise, people try to get the most of their potential, its very hard to achieve self actualisation

psychological needs, safety needs, social needs and esteem needs,

open to experience, lives in the moment,trusts their feelings,is creative, lived a fulfilled life

positive self regard, unconditional love, congruence between your ideal self and how they see themselves

this is an overlap, for you to reach self actualisation rogers states your self concept and your ideal self must match
