Quando la mamma va a prendere Valentina all’asilo, la bambina non vuole tornare a casa. La mamma la veste e la porta fuori e Valentina fa i capricci per strada: piange e grida e non vuole camminare.
When her mother goes to pick up Valentina from kindergarten, the little girl doesn’t want to go home. Her mother dresses her and takes her out of her and Valentina throws a tantrum in the street: she cries and screams and she doesn’t want to walk.
Quando arrivano a casa, la mamma ha già perso la pazienza.
“Vai in cameretta e prova a calmarti da sola”, dice la mamma e la lascia da sola.
By the time they get home, Mom has already lost her temper.
“Go to the bedroom and she tries to calm you down on her own,” Mom says and leaves her alone.
Valentina entra nella stanza delle bambole. Le sue piccole amiche si mettono a litigare e la bambola disobbediente dice alla bimba: “Oggi siamo ancora più arrabbiate!”.
Valentina enters the doll’s room. Her little friends start arguing and the disobedient doll tells the child: “Today we are even more angry!”.

“Sì, oggi voglio buttare tutto in aria!”, dice Valentina.
Yes, today I want to throw everything up in the air!” Says Valentina.
“Facciamolo!”, dice la bambola. Valentina ha una scatola di giocattoli: li tira tutti fuori e li lascia sul pavimento. Tirano fuori i pennarelli dalle confezioni, i pezzi del puzzle di legno.
“Let’s do it!” Says the doll. Valentina has a box of toys: she takes them all out and leaves them on the floor. They take out the markers from the boxes, the pieces of the wooden puzzle.
In cameretta, ora, c’è molta confusione, ma Valentina e la bambola sono ancora più in collera.
In the bedroom, now, there is a lot of confusion, but Valentina and the doll are even more angry.
La bambola brava esclama:” Basta! Calmatevi voi due, o verrà la mamma e si arrabbierà davvero!”.
The good doll exclaims: “Enough! You two calm down, or Mom will come and she’ll be really mad! ”.
La bambola monella risponde: “Non mi importa. Voglio buttare tutto in aria!”.
The naughty doll replies: “I don’t care. I want to throw everything up in the air! ”.
“Valentina” , grida la mamma dalla cucina, “che cos’è questo rumore?”.
“Valentina”, the mother shouts from the kitchen, “what is this noise?”.
La voce della mamma è calma, ma curiosa. Valentina sa che tra poco arriverà in camera e allora sarà davvero seccata per tutti i giochi sparsi per terra.
Mom’s voice is calm but curious. Valentina knows that she will soon arrive in the room and then she will be really annoyed by all the games scattered on the floor.

Bambole”, dice Valentina, “Fate pace, ora”.
“Dolls”, says Valentina, “Make peace now”.
“Noi non vogliamo fare pace”, grida la bambola monella.
Troppo tardi. La mamma arriva in camera.
“We don’t want to make peace”, shouts the naughty doll.
Too late. Mom comes to the room.
“Mamma”, dice Valentina, “le due bambole hanno litigato. La bambola monella proprio non vuole ascoltare”.
“Mom”, says Valentina, “the two dolls had a fight. The naughty doll just doesn’t want to listen. “
Mamma fa una faccia strana. Dopo,fa un respiro e dice:
“Mettiamo a posto insieme? Uno per uno”.
Mom makes a weird face. After, she takes a breath and says:
“Let’s fix it together? One by one”.
Mamma mette a posto un giocattolo; dopo, è il turno di Valentina e mette a posto un altro giocattolo, piano piano. Le due bambole fanno pace.
Mom puts away a toy; later, it’s Valentina’s turn and she puts away another toy, little by little. The two dolls make peace.
