Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) mengadakan Eksesais TAMING SARI Siri 22 Tahun 2023 (Eks TAMING SARI 22/23) bagi menguji keupayaan dan kesiapsiagaan sistem peluru berpandu di kapal serta tahap kompetensi warganya.

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) held Exercise TAMING SARI Series 22 Year 2023 (Eks TAMING SARI 22/23) to test the readiness and capability of the missile system on ships as well as the competency level of its personnel.

Markas Pemerintahan Armada Barat (MPA Barat) memaklumkan, eksesais yang bermula sejak semalam hingga 16 Disember ini menggunakan konsep penembakan misil Exocet MM40 salvo size two oleh 2 buah kapal penembak iaitu KD LEKIU dan KD LEKIR di utara perairan Selat Melaka.

The Western Fleet Command Headquarters (MPA Barat) informed that the exercise, which started yesterday and continues until 16 December, uses the concept of Exocet MM40 missile salvo size two firing by two missile ships, namely KD LEKIU and KD LEKIR, in the northern waters of the Straits of Malacca.

Selain penembakan misil, Eks TAMING SARI 22/23 turut menguji keupayaan aset-aset lain yang terlibat.

In addition to missile firing, Eks TAMING SARI 22/23 also tests the capabilities of other involved assets.

Sebanyak 14 buah kapal, 8 bot dan 12 pesawat dari TLDM, Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dan Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM) akan terlibat untuk menjayakan eksesais ini,” jelas MPA Barat menerusi hantaran di laman media sosialnya, hari ini.

“A total of 14 ships, 8 boats and 12 aircraft from the RMN, Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) will be involved in making this exercise a success,” explained MPA Barat in a post on its social media page today.

Majlis perasmian eksesais tersebut telah disempurnakan oleh Timbalan Panglima Armada Barat, Laksamana Pertama Fadhil Abdul Rahman di Auditorium Zain, Pusat Taktikal Maritim (PUSTAKMAR), Pangkalan TLDM Lumut pada Isnin.

The opening ceremony of the exercise was officiated by the Deputy Commander of the Western Fleet, First Admiral Fadhil Abdul Rahman, at the Zain Auditorium, Maritime Tactical Centre (PUSTAKMAR), RMN Base Lumut on Monday.

Dalam ucapannya, beliau berkata, seiring dengan lanskap geo-strategik yang semakin mencabar ketika ini, amat penting untuk Armada TLDM kekal relevan dalam konteks pertahanan maritim.

In his speech, he said that in line with the increasingly challenging geo-strategic landscape, it is very important for the RMN Fleet to remain relevant in the context of maritime defence.

“Berharap agar melalui Eks TAMING SARI 22/23 akan mempamerkan keupayaan kuasa tempur TLDM sekaligus membuktikan bahawa ia masih lagi bertaring di arena pertahanan maritim, kredible dan mampu mempertahankan kedaulatan perairan negara,”

“It is hoped that through Eks TAMING SARI 22/23, the RMN’s combat power will be showcased, proving that it still has teeth in the maritime defence arena, is credible, and capable of defending the nation’s maritime sovereignty.”

“Selain itu, kesemua peserta eksesais diingatkan agar sentiasa memberikan komitmen sepenuhnya dan mempamerkan tahap profesionalisme yang terbaik bagi menjayakan penembakan misil pada kali ini,” katanya lagi.
