What are natural numbers and give an example.

Natural numbers are positive whole numbers that can be used for counting. N = {0,1,2,3,4...}

What are integer numbers and give an example.

Integer numbers can be positive or negative whole numbers. Z = {...-2,-1,0,1,2...}

What are rational numbers and give an example.

Rational numbers are numbers that can expressed as a fraction or in a ratio. Q = {...100/2, 3/7...}

What are irrational numbers and give an example.

Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be expressed in a fraction or ratio. Q' = {...pi, root 2 ...}

What are real numbers and give an example.

Real numbers are any value that is a natural, integer, rational or irrational number. R = {...2, 24/5, pi, -30...}

What are ordinal numbers and give an example.

Ordinal numbers are used to express the position of an item in an ordered list or sequence. 1st 3rd 6th
