1 scoop to 2 ounces of water = 20 calories / ounce of most formules
Warm bottle by placing in warm or hot water…NOT MICROWAVE
Throw formula / BM away after 4 hours after being warmed
Readiness indicators to add solid food for infants
-4-6 months of age
-Doubled birth weight
-Drinks 8oz of formula and is hungry in <4hrs
-Can sit with little support and has good head control
-Drinks 30-32 oz of formula per day and wants more

How do introduce foods to infants
-Give iron fortified cereal first because it is least allergenic (couple weeks)
-Start introducing baby fruit or baby veggies (3-5 days…One at a time)
-After 3-5 days add second fruit or veggies (we are testing allergies)
-Save meat for last
