age 11 diagnosed w OCD when ritualistic and avoidant behaviours began to interfere with his social and academic life

ten 50 min CBT therapy sessions over 16 weeks @ local hospital

cog restructuring and imaged exposure not possible bc cant identify obsessional thoughts

helped jason identify distressing feelings and taught coping strats
like saying ntg bad gnna happen to reduce anxiety

beating OCD and not letting OCD be the boss

used chart to reward progress w hw exercises
created other visual ways to develop self awareness
how thoughts and feelings affect behaviour

encouraged him to expose self to unpleasant situations for new learning

parents and tchrs involved so can help practice new strats at home and school
