What were the results from the family history analysis of the blood-phobia group?
Blood phobia and parents: 50% of those with blood phobia, had one or both PARENTS with blood phobia.
Blood phobia and siblings: 21% of those with blood phobias, at least one sibling with blood phobia.
What were the results from the family history analysis of the injection-phobia group?
Injection phobia and parents: 27% of those with injection phobia had at least one parent who shared the phobia.
What was the result of the fainting behaviour scale and family history analysis?
A high proportion of those with blood phobia (70%) and injection phobia (56%) had a history of fainting when exposed to their phobic stimuli. These results were MUCH higher compared to those with other specific phobias or anxiety disorders.
What is the conlusion of OST (1992) study?
