A

12 seconds.

Based on Np limit above 106. NP cannot go above Nr so even though the Np limit is 116% the lower Nr limit applies in this case.

10 steps of Auto RPM check

A

The set up:

  1. Stabilize at 1000 to 1500 above target PA
  2. Set FD to 80 IAS and heading hold
  3. Retard one throttle to idle
  4. Adjust IAS back to 80 knots

Descent:

  1. Beep collective down to target collective setting (center MFD is best for this) while not exceeding 106 Nr.
  2. Reduce remaining throttle
  3. Check Nr between 98 and 104 at target Alt

Recovery:

  1. Return one engine to FLY
  2. Stop descent and establish cruise profile
  3. Return second engine to FLY
