Searches of persons shall be conducted keeping in mind that the safety of Service members, the person being search and the public are paramount. Searches of persons shall not be conducted in an abusive fashion or be conducted to intimidate, ridicule or induce admissions. The dignity and privacy of a person must always be given consideration

Under no circumstances shall a member obstruct the view of the camera while or it is recording or tamper with any video storage media.
Interview rooms are not to be used as police cells except as outlined in 01-02 appendix c. The shall only be used dor the processing and interviewing of persons in custody, victims or witnesses. The oic shall ensure that applicable sections of the procedure relating to care and handling of persons in custody is applied to all persons while detained in the police facility regardless of location eg police cells, interview rooms

Any other act of Parliament. This includes the seizure of drugs or MV with or without warrant. Any delay may result in the evidence being excluded from trial. All form 5.2s shall be included in the related ereport no later than 14 days from the date the property was seized

A missing person is a pwrson where both the following circumstances exist with respect to the person:
The persons whereabouts are unknown and
The person has not been in contact with people who would likely be in contact with the person or
It is reasonable in the circumstances to fear for the persons safety because of the circumstances surrounding thr persons absence or because of any other prescribed conditions.
A member of a police force is unable to locate the person after making reasonable effort to do so.

The siu and detective operations homicide will conduct parallel investigations when there is a death in Police custody. Homicide also provides supper to the Coroner in the investigation of death in Police custody.

As set out in their mandate, detective operations homicide and missing persons shall
Lead the investigation of all homicide in Toronto
Leas investigations of all criminal acts which result in serious bodily harm or life threatening injury to a PO while on duty
Lead investigations of deaths in Police custody that are not related to discharge of service firearm and
Provide investigative support to the Coroner in the investigation of deaths in Police custody

They shall attend the scene, attend where the victim is located or attend any additional location deemed necessary……only oic, the divisional sexual assault investigator or in their absence a divisional detective may request the assistance of sex crimes thru tpoc once preliminary investigation conducted

The service is committed to the investigation of hate crime and assuming a leadership role in the coordination of strong police and community response… continued investigation responsibility of DD office but intel will provide assistance and expertise
