What is sebum
Sebum is produced by sebaceous glands and plays a crucial role in moisturising and protecting the skin
Lipid dry colour
Dull and blotchy appearance. Pigmentation and diffused redness
Lipid dry texture
Surface may be rough and flaky. Signs of premature ageing. Often open or closed comedomes around the nose wind
Oily secretions
Excessive sebum, sebaceous filaments
Oily colour
Swallow, tired with a sheen particularly noticeable in the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin)
Oily texture
Scary may be evident, and be slightly thickened with open pores. Open and closed compdomes, may have pustules
Permanent diffused redness colour
Permanent high colour or blotchy with flushing through neck and décolleté. Nose, chin and cheeks are the first to be infected
Permanent diffused redness texture
Fine texture may mark and scar easily. Ages quickly and can be congested and blemished
Permanent diffused redness secretion
Often minimal, but may be oily. Could have an impaired acid mantle and easily aggressed
