What is transpiration impacted by?
A
Light intensity
Temperature
Air flow (greater the air flow the more transpiration that occurs)
Humidity

How to guard cells works
A
When the plants has sufficient water the guard cells swell with water to allow more gas exchange for photosynthesis
But when there is less water the guard cells close due to water not filling them and preventing water loss through water vapour
They are also light sensitive and close at night as there is no light for photosynthesis

Where are stomata located
A
Underside of the leaf as there is less light and therefor energy for transpiration and resulting in less water loss
