Methods of measuring works progression
Visiting site at regular intervals and checking works against the contractors programme. Reporting back to the client on progress
How is quality measured/assessed within contracts
- drawings and specification which set the quality standards
- Method statements
- Certificates for compliance
- Defects Liability Period
is a programme required under a JCT contract
Not a contractual requirement, but a plays a vital role in managing the works. Helps to assess progress, EOT
What is a flashing
It’s a thin, protective material, typically metal, installed at joints, edges, and penetrations to direct water away from vulnerable areas
Where was the flashing installed on the flat roof
Where the flat roof met with the adjoining building

Frequency: Weekly or monthly
Type: Formal report or email
