  • stores triglycerides –> tissues look like “chicken wire”
  • highly vascular

  • storing fats so cardiovascular system would move these fats throughout the body to be used as energy

  • ex. tendons, ligaments

    ex. hyaline cartilage of trachea, ribs, end of long bones
