- Common tumour-like tissue overgrowth
- Vascular tissue
Etiology of Pyogenic ganuloma
Mild irritation or trauma
Clinical features of Pyogenic ganuloma
- Painless exophytic mass
- Smooth/lobulated surface
- Deep red colour
- Surface often ulcerated and covered with whitish-yellow fibrous membrane
- Bleeds easily
- Located gingiva, tongue, buccal mucosa, lips and palate

- Reaction to: Mechanical irritation
- Mild trauma
- Dental plaque

- Well circumscribed mass
- Deep red colour and elastic consistency
- 0.5-2cm
- Easily bleeds and often ulcerated
