  • Generally safe and well tolderated
  • Headaches
  • GI disturbances
  • Serious effects on muscle = myopathy, rhabdomyolysis

  • Used in caution with patients with hepatic impairment
  • Reduce dose in patients with renal impairment
  • Avoid in pregnant and breastfeeding women
