COMPOUND B2-AGONIST-CORTICOSTEROID INHALERS: ADVERSE EFFECTS

A
  • Oral thrush
  • Hoarse Voice
  • They increase the risk of pneumonia in patients with COPD
  • Very high doses for a long time systemic adverse efects include adrenal suppression, growth retardation in children and potentially osteoporosis
  • LABA = tremors, arrhythmias and muscle cramps

  • COPD with a hs of pneumonia
  • Children, with potential for growth suppression
  • CVDs, in whom tachycardia may provoke angina or arrhythmias
