ANTIMUSC, BRONCHOD: MOA

A
  • Bind to the muscarinic receptor, where they act as a competitive inhibitor of acetylcholine
  • Stimulation of the receptor has a wide range of PS effects
  • Blocking the receptor: Increase heart rate and conduction, reduce smooth muscle tone, reduce glandular secretions
  • Eye = pupillary dilatation and prevent accommodation respectively
