When is neurological toxicity more likely to occur with Meropenem use?
In high doses or renal impairment
What monitoring is required whilst on Meropenem?
LFTs- due to risk of hepatotoxicity
How do you treat carbapenem associated seizures?
With a benzodiazepine
Interaction with which anti-epileptic and effect?
Sodium valproate- decreases the efficacy
Effect of Meropenem on warfarin?
Increases warfarin level and anticoagulant effect
