A

1/ no signs of impairment = employee return to work, will be treated as a breach of conduct and likely a for cause test will follow hearing.
2/ Signs of impairment= sent home, told to report for next duty(LD if Ops) given For Cause test. ( see For cause test)

A

1/ employee sent home. Told to report for next duty(LDif Ops) for a For Cause test.
2/ if refused again sent home, suspended pending discipline process
3/ if test taken and negative then return to work, original refusal treated as breach of conduct.
4/ if positive go to failing process.

What Actions for failing drugs only or drugs and alcohol tests.

A

1/ positive drugs test consistent with (a) prescription or over counter drugs AND (b) declared on consent form OHS to advise on return to work. Sample to be sent for Lab tests. OHS advice update with lab results.
2/ positive drugs test. Employee sent home, will be contacted when lab results received (48-72Hrs). (A) If Lab results negative employee return to work. (B) if positive for illicit drugs then suspended pending disciplinary process (C) if lab results positive in respect of over counter or prescription drugs only further OHS advice required.
