Blue-black colour.

Colour changes from blue → green → yellow → orange → brick red (depending on sugar concentration).

Solution remains blue.

Biuret reagent.

Purple or lilac colour.

What is the test for fats (lipids)?
Emulsion test – add ethanol, then water.
What is a positive result for fats?
Milky-white emulsion appears.
What is used to test for Vitamin C?
DCPIP solution.
What is a positive result for Vitamin C?
DCPIP blue colour disappears.
