A
they respire- releasing heat

A
heat is not transferred to the surroundings and so we can measure the change in temperature

- milton solution (bleach)
- this kills any bacteria- bacteria would also respire and so would affect the results

A
gas delivery tubes

what do you do with the gas collected?
A
the gas can be bubbled through limewater- the gas from flask A only would turn the limewater cloudy- carbon dioxide is produced
