• Child abuse – physical, emotional, neglect, sexual
• Neglect – failure to provide a childs basic needs
  o Nutrition, warmth, clothing, shelter, hygiene, health care, stimulation, education, affection
  o Dental neglect – obvious dental disease, impact on child, failure to attend
• Physical abuse – look for signs:
  o E/O – bruising, abrasions, lacerations, burns, bites, choke/cord marks, eye injuries, hair pulling, fractures
  o I/O – brusing, abrasions, lacerations, burns, tooth trauma
