A

-31 July (13 Thermidor) : vacancies in the CPS and CGS filled with moderates

-Fouquier-Tinville, public prosecutor was arrested and then after 41-day trial was guillotined with 15 of his men

-10 August: The revolutionary tribunal was reoganised and guillotining was reduced and exile to Guiana more frequently used
