The first time you select Edit from the drop-down menu when viewing a file, you will be prompted to download Amazon WorkDocs Companion. You can also download it from WorkDocs Resoruces. You do not need to be an administrator on your computer to install the app.

Amazon WorkDocs offers desktop sync clients for Windows and Mac OS X. The sync client provides a fast and easy way to synchronize files between Amazon WorkDocs and your computer, and makes it easy to access your files and folder directly on your computer.

After downloading and installing the sync client on your computer, files are automatically synced to the folder you selected as your Amazon WorkDocs sync destination. When you add or edit files or folders in your WorkDocs sync folder, changes are automatically synced with Amazon WorkDocs, and reflected on the Amazon WorkDocs web client and any additional computers where you have configured the sync client.
Can you delete content from Amazon WorkDocs using the desktop sync client?

When you delete content that you own from your Amazon WorkDocs sync folder on your computer, it is removed from Amazon WorkDocs, and any additional computers where you have configured the sync client.

Can you choose which content to sync on your computer using the desktop sync client?

Yes, you can use the sync client’s Selective Sync Settings to select which content to sync locally. By default, all your content will be selected.
If you want to save space on your computer, you can deselect synced content to remove it from your computer. You will still be able to access your content from the Amazon WorkDocs web client, or on any other computer where you have synced the content.
