We can also give Docycycline 100mg once daily after a 200mg loading dose on first day

Also Benzylpenicillin 1.2g four times daily if severe instead of amoxicillin

Treatment duration :
7 days for mild
7-10 for severe
14-21 days for cases involving Legionella , staphylococcal bacteria
