72 hours, just like our detention holding facilities.

How should the large items be documented in forms and reports?

A

“An undetermined amount of a suspected controlled substance pending official documentation from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Lab”.

Be stored at the NIU bunker at GHQ. If possible, the controlled substance should be submitted to the Crime lab for testing prior to being secured at the NIU bunker.

Controlled substance, packaging opened for court

A

The SP 655 court order to open secured narcotics evidence shall be generated when the evidence is opened.

This shall include the name of the judge who requested it to be opened.

The SP 655 shall be signed by the presiding judge that ordered the evidence opened, or by the ADA or clerk magistrate of the courts.
