Formulas of a history used to reach a diagnosis
Inductive Method - Ask all these broad questions to have a wealth of information, then start asking more closed questions to narrow down the options; good method to go back to when unsure or for inexperienced medics
Downside is time consumption
Hypothetico-deductive Model - Analyse information starting with the presenting complaint and consistently narrowing down differentials through deductive questioning
Pattern Recognition Process - Getting a few pieces of information and figuring it out; needs experience

Lifestyle - How is life affectied, activities of daily life
Ideas - What thoughts do they have about what this could be
Concerns - Have you any particular worries about what this all means
Expectations - What were you hoping to have done today
